Furamist AZ Nasal Spray is a combination medication containing fluticasone propionate (a corticosteroid) and azelastine hydrochloride (an antihistamine). It is used for the relief of symptoms of allergic rhinitis such as sneezing, nasal congestion, runny nose, and itchy or watery eyes. The corticosteroid component reduces inflammation in the nasal passages by inhibiting multiple cell types and mediators involved in inflammation. The antihistamine blocks histamine receptors and prevents allergic symptoms, providing both anti-inflammatory and antihistamine action in a single spray.

To use Furamist AZ, shake the bottle well and remove the cap. Prime the pump by spraying into the air if it is the first time use or if it has not been used for several days. Gently blow your nose to clear the nostrils. Tilt your head forward slightly and insert the nozzle into one nostril while closing the other. Spray once or twice as directed while breathing in gently through the nose. Repeat on the other side. Avoid spraying directly onto the nasal septum. Do not exceed the recommended number of sprays per day. You may need to use the spray regularly for several days before full benefit is achieved.

Side effects may include a bitter taste, nosebleeds, nasal irritation, dry or itchy nose, headaches, drowsiness or fatigue. Rinse your mouth with water after use to reduce the risk of fungal infections in the throat. Inform your doctor if you experience persistent nosebleeds, severe irritation, or blurred vision. This medication should be used cautiously in children and pregnant or breastfeeding women, and it is not intended for the immediate relief of acute asthma or bronchospasm. Avoid using other nasal sprays containing steroids or antihistamines unless advised by a healthcare professional. For more information or to purchase this product, visit: Furamist AZ Nasal Spray.
