Evermide 10 mg Capsule contains lenalidomide, an immunomodulatory drug (IMiD) used to treat certain blood cancers and disorders. Lenalidomide is a derivative of thalidomide that enhances immune system activity, inhibits angiogenesis and interferes with tumor cell proliferation. Evermide is commonly prescribed for multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndromes associated with deletion 5q cytogenetic abnormality, mantle cell lymphoma and follicular lymphoma. In these conditions, lenalidomide helps slow disease progression, improve blood counts and increase survival rates when combined with other medications such as dexamethasone or rituximab.

Take Evermide 10 Mg exactly as directed by your oncologist. The capsule is usually taken once daily for 21 days of a 28-day cycle, with rest days to allow recovery from side effects. Swallow it whole with water; do not crush or open the capsule. It can be taken with or without food. Because lenalidomide can cause severe birth defects, women of childbearing potential must use at least two forms of contraception and undergo regular pregnancy testing before and during treatment. Men taking lenalidomide must use condoms to prevent exposure to partners and should not donate sperm.

Common side effects include fatigue, constipation, diarrhea, muscle cramps, rash and decreased appetite. It can also cause low blood cell counts (anemia, neutropenia, thrombocytopenia), increasing risk of infection or bleeding. Your doctor will perform regular blood tests to monitor blood counts and organ function. Serious but less common adverse reactions include blood clots (deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism), liver toxicity, allergic reactions, and secondary cancers. Seek medical attention if you develop shortness of breath, chest pain, swelling, severe rash or fever. Evermide may interact with other medications, including anticoagulants and other chemotherapy drugs. Do not donate blood during treatment or for four weeks after stopping therapy. Always follow your healthcare provider’s instructions and attend scheduled follow-up appointments.
