Duzela 60 mg Capsule DR contains the highest commonly prescribed dosage of duloxetine in a delayed-release capsule. Duloxetine is an SNRI that enhances serotonin and norepinephrine neurotransmission to treat major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, diabetic neuropathy, fibromyalgia, and chronic musculoskeletal pain. The 60 mg strength is often prescribed when lower doses are insufficient for symptom control. The delayed-release capsule ensures the medication is delivered to the intestines for better absorption and stomach protection.

Take Duzela 60mg Capsule DR once daily, swallowed whole with water. Do not crush, chew, or split the capsule. It can be taken with or without food, though food may decrease nausea. Your doctor may gradually increase your dose to 60 mg, and you may experience improvement within a few weeks. Do not stop the medication suddenly, as doing so can cause withdrawal symptoms such as dizziness, irritability, insomnia and electric-shock sensations. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is near the time for your next dose.

Side effects may include nausea, dry mouth, decreased appetite, drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, fatigue, insomnia, increased sweating, and blurred vision. These effects often lessen over time. Serious but rare adverse events include liver injury (yellowing of skin or eyes, dark urine), hypertension, orthostatic hypotension, bleeding abnormalities, urinary retention, or mood changes including suicidal thoughts. Notify your doctor if you experience any of these symptoms. Duzela can interact with MAO inhibitors, other antidepressants, antipsychotics, antiarrhythmics, St John’s Wort, pain medications (tramadol), and anticoagulants, which may lead to serotonin syndrome or increase bleeding risk. Avoid alcohol and discuss all medications, supplements and health conditions with your healthcare provider before starting Duzela 60 mg. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should use duloxetine only if the potential benefits outweigh risks.
